Perhaps you're down or anxious - maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs may be, we will work together to understand your problem and determine a plan to help you through it. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and in my sessions I promote behavioural transformation by encouraging a realistic outlook and the adoption of new attitudes and reactions. I support the change process, offering tools and strategies to help you make the shifts that you want!

What happens during a first session varies based on needs and the service being utilized. Typically, you can expect an overview of the service being offered, a discussion about how your personal health information is managed (including a review of limits to confidentiality), and time to discuss the reason for your visit. You may bring a supportive person along to the session if desired!

For your first session, it can be helpful to:

  • bring a current list of medications 

  • bring any reports/documentation from prior therapy

  • think about and define your problem and/or goals for therapy
