Service Fees

Fees for psychological services are not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). Coverage for psychological services is often provided through private extended health insurance plans, workplace benefits, employee assistance plans, or the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). We encourage you to consult with your extended healthcare benefits provider to confirm the details of your coverage.

Please view our Team page for current fees for each of our clinicians.

If you are unable to fund care through a private clinic:

We can suggest publicly-funded services in the community and recommend self-care resources and peer-support groups. We can also schedule sessions accordingly to work with a client’s current budget. We can often place more emphasis on self-guided exercises and home practice when costs are an issue. However, we strongly recommend at-home practice for almost all clients.

Insurance coverage:

Many insurance companies offer full or partial coverage of psychotherapy services either offered by or supervised by an Ontario Registered Psychologist. Services may also be covered for other mental health professionals (e.g., Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Social Worker). If you are planning on receiving reimbursement for services, please contact your insurance company for the following information:

  • which services are covered by your insurance policy

  • whether your plan requires a receipt from an Ontario Registered Psychologist

  • the insurer's procedure for reimbursement (set amount per session, total amount, or portion of fee per visit)

  • whether you need a physician’s referral
